...so a few days ago I attended the Vans Warped Tour in Mountain View, CA. First of all, it was one of the most amazing days ever! But secondly, it ended up being a huge motivator.

So after winning an art piece from Andrew "The Butcher" Mrotek, drummer of the band The Academy Is..., I got to chat with him for a couple of minutes (which was amazing.... The Butcher= the greatest) I just felt inspired. This guy who is on tour manages to crank out paintings and other art pieces for fans, how cool is that?

So today, I took public transportation to the neighboring town of Dublin and invaded the Michaels Arts and Crafts store. I came out with almost 100 dollars worth of painting supplies. I got home and started painting, something I really dont do. Until now it seems. So far, Ive gotten about 1/3 done. I used spray paint for the first time, which was fun and easy for what I was trying to do...

So I'm excited for painting now. I have 5 blank canvases just ready to go from white and empty to colorful and fun.



(Well, at least until school starts. God knows what I'll do when that happens)
